About the tour
Komodo National Park is composed of three major islands in Manggarai. The archipelago offers a beautiful and mesmerizing landscape consisting of turquoise seawater combined with unique geographical islands. Here you can find the one and only Komodo dragons, the world’s largest lizards, which are protected. In 1991, the Komodo National Park was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve, and lastly, it’s known as one of the 7 Wonders of Nature. This tour marks one of the highlights of your travels in Indonesia!
DAY 1
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel by a driver, who will then take you to the harbor where you will step aboard the sailing boat. The boat offers an exciting voyage with all comfortable facilities, including spacious open-air areas, rooms with ocean views, a jacuzzi, sun deck, and rooftop chill-out area. Around 11.00, you will arrive at Kanawa Island, where you can enjoy some snorkeling and marvel at the colorful fish and beautiful corals around you. After snorkeling, you will have lunch on the boat and continue sailing to Manta Point, providing an amazing experience to come close to the Mantas. Following this, you will continue to Taka Makassar, where you can capture some amazing pictures. Enjoy the afternoon on the boat while witnessing the sunset. In the evening, delight in the pleasant ambiance during dinner and share stories with the other travelers on the boat.
DAY 2
On the second day wake up early! At 05.00, you will head to Padar Island. The hike on Padar Island in Komodo offers some of the most amazing views in Indonesia! The total distance of the Padar Island hike is approximately 3.9 kilometers, and the hike typically takes around 1-2 hours to complete. Reaching the summit is a rewarding experience that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding islands, turquoise waters, and multiple beaches. After your hike, you will have breakfast on the boat while continuing sailing to Pink Island. The pink beach offers you a chance to relax on the pink sand (yes, the sand is actually pink). This phenomenon is caused by microscopic organisms called Foraminifera, which create a red pigment on the coral reefs. These red particles then mix with the normal sand, resulting in a pink color. After your visit to Pink Beach, you will have lunch on the boat before continuing to Rinca. This island is famous for Komodo dragons, giant lizards that can measure up to 3 meters long. During a small hike with your guide on the island, you will have great opportunities to spot the dragons in their natural habitats. If you are brave enough, you can even take a picture next to the Komodo dragon! After this unique experience, enjoy dinner and watch the sunset from the boat while observing many bats flying in Kalong Bay.
DAY 3
On your last day wake up early again at 06.00 for a hike at Kelor Island to capture some beautiful pictures. Afterward, back on the boat, breakfast will be served before you visit the last stop of this Komodo Sailing trip, Manjarite Island. This is the perfect spot for some snorkeling. Around 12.00, you will be back at the harbor in Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, a car will bring you to Labuan Bajo airport or to your accommodation in Labuan Bajo.
The price is based on a sharing tour for a minimum of 2 persons
