About the tour
Explore the crafts and culture of Mataram on a journey through its vibrant heart. A private car will pick you up from your hotel at 9 AM to begin the day. Your first stop is Gunung Sari Bamboo Craft, where you can watch skilled artisans create beautiful bamboo crafts using traditional techniques. Next, visit the wooden craft center in Rungkang, showcasing the region’s rich artistic heritage. The journey continues to the historic Mayura Water Palace, built by Dutch colonists. Following this, you’ll visit one of Mataram’s oldest temples, built in 1887 by AA Gde Ngurah of the Balinese Kingdom. Afterward, head to Banyumulek Village to see a local pottery production center. End the day at the local market in Ampenan, where you can observe daily life and local trading practices. After the market visit, your driver will return you to your hotel.
