About the tour
You will be picked up at your accommodation between 01:45 and 02:30. Around 03:45, you will reach the starting point for the trek and meet the guide. From there, you will begin the hike to the top of 1,717 meters above sea level. The total distance of the trekking is about 9 km round trip, and it will take around 2 hours to reach the summit. As an active volcano, you may see steam rising from some hot spots on the summit, where temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Celsius. At this location, we will cook eggs and bananas for your breakfast. Simply dig a hole in the sand, place both the eggs and bananas inside, cover with grass, and wait 10-15 minutes for them to cook. After breakfast, you will descend via a different route. Upon returning to the car park, you can relax at the Batur natural hot springs. The hot spring water comes from rocks with temperatures of about 35-37 degrees Celsius and is believed to have natural medicinal properties for skin problems. The last stop on the way back to the hotel will be a visit to a coffee plantation, or you can head straight back home safely.
The price is based on a private tour for a minimum of 2 persons
