About us

We're honored to have you as our guest at The Happinezz Hills. Our goal is to offer you a relaxing and comfortable stay, with a warm and personal touch. We're an Indonesian–Dutch family who built this hotel from scratch in 2018. With a lot of love, care, and passion, we've created a place where travelers from all over the world can come to explore, and enjoy everything Karimunjawa has to offer.

At The Happinezz Hills, we believe in giving back — not only to the beautiful nature around us, but also to the local community that makes Karimunjawa so special. We actively support sustainability efforts on the island, such as beach cleanups, and we're proud to be one of the founders of the Kejora Foundation Karimunjawa. This non-profit organization offers educational programs for children and young adults, with a strong focus on English language skills — a need we've seen firsthand on the island. Kejora currently runs a preschool for over 60 children aged 3 to 6, English classes for children aged 7 to 12, and English training for young adults working in tourism. Would you like to visit the school during your stay? You are more than welcome — we'd love to show you around and share more about our projects!

We're also proud to collaborate with the local tourism school in Karimunjawa. We strongly believe in the importance of creating job opportunities for the local community. At The Happinezz Hills, we regularly welcome young students to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. Every student deserves a chance to grow, learn, and build a brighter future, and we're honored to support that journey. We actively provide training for our team to help them develop valuable skills for a successful career in tourism. Since some of our staff are still in the learning phase, we kindly ask for your understanding and patience as they continue to grow.

Although we do everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we'd like to remind you that Karimunjawa is a remote island. Occasionally, things may break unexpectedly, or certain spare parts or restaurant ingredients might not be immediately available. Please know that we always do our utmost to ensure that this affects your stay as little as possible.
